1. Commitment to User Privacy
At ShishaWare Games (accessible via https://shishaware.org), we hold a fundamental belief that playing casual browser games should never require sacrificing personal privacy. We do not require account registration, do not collect email addresses to access gameplay, and do not track users across external third-party properties.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
Like all web platforms distributed via content delivery networks (Cloudflare), our edge servers automatically record non-identifying technical metadata when you request a webpage:
- Network Information: Truncated IP addresses, browser engine user-agent strings, and language preferences.
- Request Diagnostics: Timestamps, referrers, HTTP status codes, and transferred byte sizes.
This server diagnostic data is processed strictly for security DDoS mitigation, edge caching efficiency, and network routing performance. It is never cross-referenced with individual identities.
3. Local Client-Side Storage (HTML5 LocalStorage)
Our web portal and integrated games utilize standard browser HTML5 LocalStorage. This client-side mechanism stores:
- Your personal high scores and game progress.
- Audio volume preferences (mute/unmute toggles).
- Color theme and layout preferences.
Important: LocalStorage data resides exclusively on your local computer or phone. It is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. You can permanently erase all saved game states at any time by clearing your browser cache and cookies.
4. Game Sandboxing & Edge Architecture
All interactive games on ShishaWare Games are executed directly via client-side HTML5 Canvas and WebGL within secure, sandboxed <iframe> wrappers. We prioritize self-hosted engines and tracker-free open-source builds. For any external open-source embeds, we isolate execution to prevent access to your personal browsing environment, ensuring zero invasive tracking cookies or unauthorized telemetry.
5. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)
ShishaWare Games is intended for general audiences interested in casual browser games. We do not knowingly solicit, harvest, or store personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has inadvertently submitted personal data through our contact form, please notify us immediately at privacy@shishaware.org, and we will promptly purge the data.
6. European Privacy Rights (GDPR) and California Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
Users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or the State of California possess legal rights regarding personal data:
- The right to request access to and disclosure of collected data.
- The right to request immediate deletion of any submitted messages or logs.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (ShishaWare Games does not sell user data).
To exercise your statutory privacy rights, contact our Data Protection Officer at: privacy@shishaware.org.
